Different methods are used in the operation; a few examples are given:
1. The weakened muscle is shortened.
2. The muscle that has shrunk is lengthened.

In these pictures, the muscle has been cut from its place. Take a closer look and see that two stitches are tied near the eye on the lower side of the muscle; from here the muscle will be attached to the eye and the upper part will be cut off
